Three Easy Steps to Success

Upload.

Collaborate.

Download.

After consulting with us and having made the decision to let us work on your music, carefully reading and accepting the co-writer/producer agreement and paying a 25% deposit*, you simply upload and transfer the song or track that you want orchestrated, arranged, produced or all inclusive. Preferably as a Cubase or Logic project file, but GarageBand or standalone MIDI, WAVE or AIFF-files may also work depending on the desired service.

By communicating through Skype and email, the arranger collaborates with you now and then while working on your song or track and may send you a draft or two along the way for adjustment if deemed necessary. Due to the complexity of a particular project, effective work time may vary, anywhere from a few hours to days. Should you be on a tight schedule, please make sure to advise a preferred deadline at the initial contact.

When the work is considered finished, you will be sent a watermarked mixdown for approval, allowing up to a whopping five revisions before an additional charge. Yes, this is rare, but we simply want you to be 100% satisfied with the result. After approving and paying the remaining fee, the project file or high-resolution mixdown will be delivered to you. But wait, there is more to this. Did we mention that...

This is how it works:

...all our arrangement, editing, mix and mastering services are royalty-free!

What is Digital Orchestration?

As opposed to traditional orchestration printed on a sheet, "digital orchestration" refers to an orchestrator also taking the role as a conductor and producer by working with MIDI rather than musical notes and recording the score in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) using orchestral sample libraries, widely known as "virtual instruments". By todays professional standards, where developers are recording actual ensemble musicians covering almost every possible articulation and playing style on every note, taking up hundreds of gigabytes, the result becomes mind blowingly realistic given that the end user is just as skilled in the art of MIDI-programming, as in the art of classical orchestration.

Read more about our orchestration services.

You can provide us with either just a theme and some chords and leave the actual arrangement to us, a complex setting of musical ideas to be improved on orchestration-wise, a complete track ready for mixing and mastering, or a request for an exclusively composed song or soundtrack - and we will make sure to deliver on all accounts.

However, if you are new to the way we produce music, some things might need to be explained in more detail.

What is Digital Arrangement?

The term has many similarities with digital orchestration, only that it refers to a wider spectrum of musical ideas being merged inside a DAW (Digital Music Workstation). Instead of just orchestrating a given theme by creating textures for different instruments in varying keys to play in different parts of the theme, "digital arrangement" means putting an entire song or track together by using anything from sampled orchestras, pianos, drums, bass and guitars, to synthesizers and live recordings. Read more about our arrangement services.

Being a music producer myself, why would I need your services when I have access to my own library of virtual orchestral instruments?

There are many exceptionally skilled music producers around the world, but having access to something doesn't always equal knowing how to make proper use of it. If you don't settle for anything less than professional results and do have the skills as well as the time and gear required, then our services probably won't add that much to the table. But if classical orchestration isn't your strongest feat as a producer, we definitely have something of great value to offer and would be happy to collaborate with you.

I really love the sound of the orchestras. Instead of hiring you to work on my music, could I just buy those sample sets from you and do it myself?

No. Despite the fact that it would be morally wrong, we could get prosecuted for doing so, as we are a group of individual licensees of our respective virtual instrument developer of choice, just like any other end user. Besides, even if that was possible for some reason, it would totally defeat the purpose of what we are offering as composers and arrangers.

Can you tell me the names of the sample libraries/virtual instruments you are using?

Unfortunately not until you have carefully read and signed the co-writer/producer agreement in order to collaborate with us as fellow composers and arrangers. We neither have the legal right, nor the interest to affiliate the marketing of our services with the names of developers whose products we are licensed to use.

I have a finished score and would only need you to put the right sampled instrument on every corresponding part so to make it sound like a live recording, without changing anything in the notation. Can you do that?

That is not possible as it would violate the terms of use we are bound to comply with as individual licensees of our respective virtual instrument developer of choice. In order for us to be able to collaborate with you, we will have to contribute in a more artistic way to your score, be it more in an orchestration manner by composing or altering small parts for certain instruments carrying the main theme in your song, or by arranging it as a whole.

Carl at the Newman Scoring Stage, 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles.

While our services are backed by our own talent pool of highly skilled music producers, the actual Arranger Online doing all the orchestral work is acclaimed Swedish composer Carl Falkenau aka Lofvenhamn - Stockholm Royal College of Music graduate 2006, producer of several soundtracks for Scandinavian television, symphonic intros for Swedish metal bands, composer of contemporary classical music as well as cinematic industrial metal, and an avid user of sampled orchestras since the early nineties.

Having grown used to operate behind the curtains doing arrangement and production work for all kinds of artists, labels and famed media corporations such as Bonnier and Modern Times Group, he received stunning reviews worldwide back in 2015 after finally releasing his own debut album "Sanctified" as his alter ego The Grim, featuring heavy orchestrated cinematic metal.
